Happiness and laughter go hand in hand. They are so important for us because science has proven the more you laugh, the longer you will live. Think about it, if you are constantly unhappy, your body is never releasing dopamine.
Life gets tough, it beats us down and sometimes we just want to give up and trust me, I have been there multiple times. But what helps me still be happy and laugh on those days, is literally forcing myself to smile and eventually, I start having happy thoughts and giggling a little. So try that out. I do it during my morning yoga and my morning run. It is a time when I listen to calming music and give my brain an opportunity to calm down and relax. This helps me begin to smile.
Quarantining is tough. Many people are struggling through this. During this quarantine, remember to laugh with your loved ones in whatever manner you can, over the phone, via video chat, or simply in person. You will be surprised just how much and for how long it takes your mind off of this rather stressful quarantine. This has become our new normal, we rather embrace it in all manners, including living life. Maybe look through old pictures or celebrate milestones, whatever it may be, embrace it to the fullest, because this may be our new normal, but those milestones are once in a lifetime, those laughs are just another memory to add into the book, so keep that book going. I have loved my evenings where Azaria basically forces me to stop everything for a minute and just focus on her whether I have the time or not because it takes my mind away from everything else. If your life has become anything like mine, you just keep working without stopping because there is nothing else to do. So stop for a minute. Force yourself to stop. Breathe, laugh, love, and enjoy.
